Find me!

The last time I updated my blog, it was cold and all the ponds were frozen..
Now it looks like spring finally arrives. And I can tell you: I'm really looking forward to that!

On this moment I actually have no time for spring or sun. I'm very busy with the last texts, arrangements etc. for my new (5th) solo CD.

Yes... that's right. Next week I will record my 5th solo CD with new yiddish repertoire. It will contain music written by Mikhoel Felsenbaum and music written by myself. And it's absolutely thrilling to me!
Tomorrow I will have the last rehearsal, with my amazing wonderful musicians.

And I'm happy that I also have so much concerts to do. This week I had a concert in Vught. Together with Rabbi Awram Soetendorp. On sunday I will perform in the Synagoge of Enschede (a city in Holland near to Germany). It's seems that there will be a mixes audience with dutch and german people.
And next week another concert with Rabbi Soetendorp. I look forward to that too.

So, on this computer, sits a busy but happy singer. Happy to sing with such beautiful friends/ musicians and happy to have such nice audience! (and that's what I try to remember every time when I'm tired of all the work I still have to do).

Winter decided to show her freezing side...
No, I'm not complaining. As a girl living in Holland, I like cold winters, with snow and ice. But I never expected this temperatures. 17 degrees (celsius) below zero...
In a few days the ponds were frozen and when the ice was thick enough the first daredevils started skating on the ponds.

Here in Holland, we have a crazy kind of behavior, when it's freezing this way.
All we can think is: Elfstedentocht.... A skate tour of 200 km through Friesland and eleven city's in one day. Now for that you have to be crazy or dutch, or both.

Yep, somehow the skating fever got me too... I bought new skates and also a pair of skates for my son, whom is 10 years old. Mummy will teach him skating. Whoehoe! I'm already preparing myself for the worst... But hey... it's fun!

Meanwhile I also worked on some other things: I composed a new song (on a poem wich Mikhoel Felsenbaum wrote for me).
I still have to work on the chords and write down the exact melody, but it's a very sad and nice song in my favorite key: C minor.

This past week I had also contact with some very nice venues in Enschede, Amsterdam and Dieren, where Reinout (my guitarplayer) and I will perform. Check out the calendar for the new dates!

A varemen grus,

Lucette

Wow!

It's been a while, since I last updated my website...
I know, some of you must have thought: Is Lucette still singing? And when she does, where does she perform?

Well folks: I'm alive and kicking. Actually more then that: I'm working on some very interesting and inspiriring things!
As you can see in my calendar, I worked past years on so many things, which deepened my awareness for my way of making music. So far, so good.
With this new fresh start, I needed a new website, with a fresh new look.

On my new website you can find a fresh new calendar, a store, this blog, my video's and ofcourse new photo's, (the official photo's are made in Switserland by the wonderful creative Abisha Photography on location) but also photo's in more 'musical' settings and of me and my friends.

So, here it is. Please, take a look and let me know what you think!

I hope you like it.

And when you want an update about all my activities, just sign up at the widget, wich appears 'left side' on every page.

Hope to see you around!

A varemen grus,

Lucette
